Fabrication, characterization, and photovoltaic performance of titanium dioxide/metal-organic framework composite

• Titanium dioxide/Metal Organic Framework was synthesized by a simple sol-gel method. Optical studies of TiO 2 / MOF using UV-Vis spectrometer. HOMO-LUMO energies evaluation CV. Conductivity and lifetime measurement EIS Photo conversion efficiency MOF. The titanium dioxide-metal-organic framework (TiO -MOF) composite prepared the method for photovoltaic applications. Raman analyses showed presence clusters in network. Using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller method, resultant material exhibited surface area 111.10 m g −1 as compared to values 262.90 464.76 MOF, respectively. small optical band gap 2.63 direct electronic transition 2.70 eV indirect allowed /MOF were observed ultraviolet-visible supported cyclic voltammetry (CV). chronoamperometry (CA) results current drop 0.21 mA at 0.025 s of1.00 1.4 -MOF 0.3 s. stability achieved through synergistic effect on which resulted high density. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy fast electron transfer well ionic conductivity. overall power 0.722% along with photocurrent density 0.46 cm −2 composite. approach proposed this work is facile can be used large-scale fabrication efficient flexible photoanode electrodes
